Over forty years I’ve had the privilege of being involved in powerful open innovations where diverse organizations accomplished a big vision that none of them could have achieved alone. Tapping into the creative energy that exists in all organizations requires spirit-lifting leadership that enables, enriches, holds the organization accountable, and in the end let’s go. Enlightened leaders can apply universal principles identified in these stories to create dynamic cultures supercharging their organizations to thrive in our time of profound change. Carpe Diem.
Let's Energize Your Team
I can help energize your organization
I'd enjoy exploring working with your organization to help energize your team, by tapping into the full creative potential of everyone while being accountable for results. Provide your name and email address above to download the free pdf, and I'll follow up.
I can serve on your board
I'm particularly interested and valuable in serving on your Board of Directors or Advisory Board if you are organizing a sprint to get to the next level of growth. I have extensive experience on numerous business boards in different industries, as well as across companies, educational institutions, not-for-profit, and government agencies. Most have succeeded. A few have whiffed, which are the most powerful lessons.
I can speak at your event
I can inspire your audience at your team retreat or a conference you're organizing. I have spoken to lots of business, industry, and civic organizations. Here is a keynote presentation I made to the global innovation conference of Sonoco, a food packaging company. For about fifteen years I have broadcast a weekly innovation and entrepreneurship update on South Carolina Public Radio. Here's a radio broadcast example that surveys innovators I've known in my career.

About John Warner
What I've done
I excel at recognizing trends, connecting dots, and envisioning new opportunities. I've had successes in many industries and across companies, educational institutions, not-for-profit, and government agencies. I’ve whiffed a few times too which has provided the most enduring lessons. All that experience helps me see and understand how to empower creativity while being accountable for results.
Over my career, I built a consulting practice serving entrepreneurial clients at KPMG… that led to starting Capital Insights, which grew to be one of the largest angel investment groups in the country... which led to helping to grow an electronic components company, a wireless phone company, and a professional employer organization, as well as our biggest success, Earth Fare, which became the largest regional organic grocery store chain in the country… which led to being VP of Strategy for KEMET, a New York Stock Exchange company which is a global leader in electronic capacitors... which led to InnoVenture connecting corporations like Michelin, Milliken, GE and BlueCross/BlueShield with universities, like Clemson and the University of South Carolina, and with entrepreneurs… which led to co-founding Hoowaki, which licensed university IP to become a leader in engineered, microstructured surfaces… which led to helping Clemson identify how to create more entrepreneurial companies from students and faculty… which led to partnering with a Clemson professor to start Accessible Diagnostics, now Furba Care, to commercialize an at-home, smartphone pet health monitor.
